Description: The Mendocino County Office of Education and Water Education Foundation invite you to attend a wonderful training experiencing the interdisciplinary activities of Project WET, while seeing how they will engage your students in the study of water while using concepts and skills at the heart of Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards.
Project WET (Water Education for Teachers) activities are designed to engage students of all ages – in formal and non-formal education settings – in the study of water through interactive simulations, use of models and reality-based scenarios. Interdisciplinary Project WET activities supplement existing curriculum and are correlated to and reinforce practices integrated within Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards – provide strong foundations for STEAM, Project-Based and Service Learning programs.
In addition to a light breakfast and lunch, participants will receive a copy of Project WET Guide 2.0, hands-on experience with Project WET activities and an opportunity to register for 0.6 CEU credit.
