Colorful maps and new layperson's guides detailing key water topics available
The Water Education Foundation is known for its colorful, poster-sized maps detailing California water, the lower Colorado River and the Delta, and its acclaimed series of Layperson’s Guides examining such topics as California water, water rights, groundwater and 13 other subjects.
We recently updated our California water map to make it easier to see the state’s natural waterways and man-made reservoirs and aqueducts - including federally, state and locally funded projects - the wild and scenic rivers system, and natural lakes.
Our Layperson’s Guides, 16 in all, are often referred to as mini-textbooks, offering readers an easy-to-understand, broad overview and perspective on a variety of important water issues.
We’ve just updated out Layperson’s Guide to Groundwater to add information about the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act and other important information.
We’ve also added a new title – the Layperson’s Guide to the Colorado River Delta that provides readers with the facts about the past, present and future of this once-vast wetlands area at the end of the Colorado River near the Gulf of Mexico.
The guides, ranging from 20 to 32 pages, are periodically updated to include the most recent information. The guides can be purchased as a set or individually.
