We occassionally are able to host college students as summer
interns. If you are interested in an internship, send an
email to
Jenn Bowles, our executive director, to find out if we have
any available.
The Water Education Foundation has a
full-time opening for an experienced, energetic and motivated
editor with a journalism background who can elevate our online
and print publications with sharp editing, innovative
storytelling and a passion for clearly explaining the
complexities and nuances of water resources in the West.
The Water Education Foundation is
looking for a freelance journalist to curate Aquafornia, our weekday compilation of top
water news from around California and the West.
The Aquafornia curator is a remote position ideally suited for a
journalist who wants to keep up on water news and is an early
riser. The curator scours the Internet starting about 6 a.m.
(Pacific Time) for the latest water stories, commentaries
and news releases and assembles them on our website. The
curator remotely joins our journalism team about 8:30 a.m. as it
decides the news lineup and makes other adjustments.
This is a contractor position — about 2.5 to 3 hours a day
— that reports to our News & Publications Director. The role
requires someone who can work independently and collaborate well
with others in a fast-paced digital environment.
