The Water Education Foundation’s semiannual California Runoff
Rundown covered issues related to nonpoint source water
pollution. The free newsletter brought readers examples of
successful strategies being used across California to keep
nonpoint source pollutants out of waterways, lakes, reservoirs
and the ocean.
Grant funds from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
and California State Water Resources Control Board supported
the development and distribution of the newsletter. The funding
and the newsletter were discontinued in 2008, but these issues
feature a lot of valuable background information on nonpoint
source pollution and watershed management.
