There is no need to wait to show your love for the Water Education Foundation! Starting today you can schedule your donation for Big Day of Giving on our campaign page. If you prefer the thrill of watching us reach our $10,000 goal in real time you can donate any time on May 4.

Big Day of Giving is a 24-hour online giving marathon for nonprofits in the Sacramento region where we are based. However, while Big Day of Giving is region-focused, our campaign will benefit our programs and publications across California and the West.

Your gift of any size raises our visibility with other donors and raises our chances for additional prizes from Sacramento Region Community Foundation. Plus, Golden 1 Credit Union will match up to $100,000 of donations made with a Golden 1 Credit Union debit or credit card through May 4.

Here are just a few things your donation will help us accomplish in 2023:

• Our all-new Eastern Sierra Tour in September
• Brand new updates to two of our Layperson’s Guides – Colorado River & Klamath River
• Expanded Project WET teacher training workshops throughout California
• Free public access to our Western Water news coverage

Calling all Water Leaders!

Show your solidarity with a gift to our friendly Water Leaders alumni fundraising competition. As a thank you for your support, the class fundraising campaign that raises the most money by the end of May 4 will receive prizes!

Donations are completely optional. However, if you have loved your experience as a Water Leader and/or want to support future Water Leaders cohorts, we encourage you to help us reach our $10,000 fundraising goal. Your support allows Water Education Foundation to empower future years of Water Leaders, including scholarships for our educational programs.

How to join the fun

• Make your donation before 11:59 pm on May 4
• Encourage cohort members, friends and family, and colleagues to support your favorite Water Leaders year – all are welcome!

Open House

Stop by our office any time between 3:30 and 6:30 on Thursday, May 4 to enjoy happy hour refreshments, get to know our programs and team better, network with Foundation fans from across the water world, and win prizes!

Our open house is part of our Big Day of Giving campaign. No donation is necessary to attend our open house. However, if you love our programs and want to show your appreciation, we encourage you to help us reach our $10,000 fundraising goal.
