Get Behind-The-Scenes View of Hoover Dam
Early Bird Prices for Lower Colorado River Tour End Feb. 2
When you hop on a Water Education Foundation tour bus, you get a special behind-the-scenes look at water facilities and properties not open to the general public. On our March 2-4 Lower Colorado River Tour you will not only get a private tour of Hoover Dam, but you also will be among the first to set foot in the dam’s new Nevada Spillway House.
The Bureau of Reclamation’s new multi-use building, the Nevada Spillway House provides panoramic views of the upstream side of Hoover Dam’s crest, the intake towers and Lake Mead. One of the educational exhibit’s centerpieces is the Boulder, the captain’s boat used in Reclamation’s original 1923 survey of the Colorado River to determine the future location of Hoover Dam. Other features include a tactile model of Hoover Dam and an interactive model of the building’s sustainability features.
Early bird tour prices are available until Feb. 2! Click here for tour details and to purchase tickets.
The tour starts in Las Vegas on March 2, but we also offer a free travel option from Ontario on March 1. Please direct any questions to Tour Director Dan Scott at (916) 444-6240 or DScott@WaterEducation.Org.
