The Water Education Foundation will be among the nation’s charities and nonprofits participating in #GivingTuesday on Dec. 2.

Coinciding with Thanksgiving and the kickoff of the holiday shopping season, #GivingTuesday harnesses the power of social media to create a national moment around the holidays dedicated to giving, similar to how Black Friday and Cyber Monday have become days that are synonymous with holiday shopping.

#GivingTuesday inspires people to give back to communities, charities and causes they support. Donations in any amount are welcome and appreciated but we will offer a 20% discount on our basic membership for only $80 (normally $100) to those who sign up on #GivingTuesday.

Our basic membership includes a subscription to Western Water, our bimonthly magazine that looks in-depth at water issues. Anyone who makes any type of online donation to the Water Education Foundation on Dec. 2 will receive a pack of water-themed holiday cards.

By becoming a member or donating, you will be supporting the Foundation’s mission to create a better understanding of water resources and foster public understanding and resolution of water resource issues through facilitation, education and outreach.
