these upcoming opportunities to visit important regions in

Bay-Delta Tour: May 17-19
Our most popular annual tour, the
Bay-Delta Tour May
17-19, is almost sold out! Reserve
your spot now to explore the most critical and controversial
water region in California, the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta
and the San Francisco Bay. You’ll hear from experts
discussing how the Delta provides water for much of the state,
farmers sustaining a vital local economy and environmentalists
trying to bolster declining fish populations. Stops include
Delta legacy communities, Suisun Marsh, Delta islands and levees,
Big Break Regional Shoreline, the Delta Cross Channel, Los
Vaqueros Reservoir, the Bay Model in Sausalito and more. Register here while tickets
last!
Open House: May 4
Join us May 4 for our annual open
house and reception at our office near the
Sacramento River to meet our team and learn more about what we do
to educate and foster understanding of California’s most precious
natural resource — water. RSVP here!
Drop by anytime from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., enjoy refreshments and chat with our team about our tours, conferences, maps, publications and training programs for teachers and up-and-coming water industry professionals.
Headwaters Tour: June 21-22 – Registration opens next week
For the first time in four years,
our Headwaters Tour returns in person June 21-22
and now includes an optional whitewater rafting trip on
June 20!
Don’t miss your chance to venture into the foothills and mountains of the Sierra Nevada with experts to examine water issues that happen upstream but have dramatic effects downstream and throughout the state.
With 30 percent of the state’s developed water supply originating high in the Sierra Nevada, millions of Californians are affected by the health of our forests that are suffering from drought, wildfires and widespread tree mortality. You can also join us on the day before the tour for a whitewater rafting trip through the South Fork Lower Gorge of the American River. Seating is more limited on this tour than any other we offer, so mark your calendars now for April 19 when registration opens!
