Registration Now Open for Water 101 Workshop
Feb. 7th workshop in Sacramento to include optional one-day Groundwater Tour
Registration is now open for one of our most popular events – Water 101, which for the first time will include an optional daylong tour examining one of California’s most critical resources, groundwater.
Water 101, to be held Feb. 7 at McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, details the history, geography, legal and political facets of water in California as well as hot topics currently facing the state. Taught by some of California’s leading policy and legal experts, the workshop gives attendees a deeper understanding of the state’s most precious natural resource.
The workshop will be beneficial to water resource industry staff, engineering and environmental firm personnel, city council members, county supervisors, legislators, legislative staff, media, advocates, attorneys, stakeholders, environmentalists, public interest organizations and water district directors.
There are two ticket options:
- The one-day workshop is $235 and includes coffee and pastries in the morning, lunch and materials.
- If you want to go to the workshop and get a close-up look at the groundwater issues the next day to learn more about how it’s used, see an extensometer that measures subsidence, visit farms and cities using groundwater and talk to organizations implementing the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act, the cost will be $465 for both days.
