See the Delta Through the Eyes of the Experts
Bay-Delta Tour features speakers whose jobs focus on the region
After five years of record drought, the past year’s deluge is helping to recharge reservoirs across the state. But how much has the recent precipitation helped the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta – the hub of California’s water supply, an agricultural center and a crucial ecological resource?
Find out on our annual Bay-Delta Tour, June 14-16, as we hear from water experts, farmers and environmental specialists about the current state of the Delta and what the future may hold for this vital region.
We will be joined by several leading Delta experts. You’ll hear from Erik Vink, Executive Director of the Delta Protection Commission, Campbell Ingram, Executive Officer of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Conservancy, and Michael George, the Delta Watermaster from the State Water Resources Control Board. Each will present on their experiences and perspective.
After our first day on the Delta, the tour moves downstream for two more days, reaching its terminus at the San Francisco Bay. All three days are packed full of speakers, sites and experiences to present you with a broad and diverse view of California water.
