Wave of Change: Breaking the Status Quo
2017 Executive Briefing set for March 23
Finding new sources of water for the future and implementing the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act are two of the key topics to be addressed at this year’s Executive Briefing, the Water Education Foundation’s flagship conference of the year.
The 34th annual event, “Wave of Change: Breaking the Status Quo,” will feature key speakers and top experts in their fields. The Briefing will be March 23 at a new location this year – the Hilton Sacramento Arden West hotel, 2200 Harvard Street in Sacramento.
Other topics on the agenda include:
- Getting Smarter About Water: Putting Data to Work
- A New Federal Administration: The View from DC
- Lifeline of the Southwest: Working to Avoid a Colorado River Shortage
- How the Water Flows: Update on the Proposed Delta Water Quality Plan
Registration is $250 for major contributors ($100 or more) or $350 for non-contributors. New this year: a special $175 rate for nongovernmental organizations and university professors and students. The Briefing will also feature a silent auction with a chance to bid on lunches with key water policy experts, among other things. The auction benefits the Water Leaders program.
