The mountain yellow-legged frogs of Yosemite National Park are in an epic fight for survival. Theirs is a tale of devastation and redemption, luck and suspense, and amphibians in helicopters. And in an era of grim headlines about the state of nature, a recent UC study about them offers a rare glimmer of hope: These frogs, which were plagued nearly to extinction by a deadly fungus just a few years ago, are now poised for a comeback.
