These areas of California could be underwater by 2050
A map created by Climate Central, an organization of scientists and journalists focused on studying the impacts of climate change, shows what the future may hold for coastal communities as sea level rises. …While flooding would primarily be limited to some Southern California coastal areas under normal circumstances, under major flood conditions, many developed areas would be at risk. The map shows that Naval Air Station Point Mugu, multiple sections of the Port of Long Beach and dozens of blocks in Huntington Beach near Bolsa Chica State Beach would be flooded, among other impacted areas.
