Dave Eggerton is executive director of the Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA), a statewide association whose more than 450 local public water agency members are responsible for about 90% of the water delivered in California.

Prior to joining ACWA, he served as general manager of the Calaveras County Water District, deputy general counsel for the El Dorado Irrigation District, and as general manager of the El Dorado County Water Agency.

He received bachelor’s degrees in English and political science from Texas A&M University in 1995 and a law degree from the University of California, Davis School of Law in 2000. He is a 2006 graduate of the Water Education Foundation’s Water Leader Program.

He joined the Water Education Foundation’s Board of Directors in 2020.
