David J. Guy is the president of the Northern California Water Association. For the past several decades he has worked in various capacities to advance economic interests that promote the conservation of California’s special places and their precious water and land resources.

He is also an adjunct professor at San Joaquin College of Law.

Guy previously served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Yosemite Association. He has also practiced water and land use law throughout California.

Democratic and Republican governors have chosen Guy to serve on numerous commissions and appointed bodies. He received his law degree from the University of Colorado School of Law and his bachelor’s degree in geological sciences from San Diego State University.

Guy joined the Foundation’s Board of Directors in 2004.
