Hands-on Learning in a Digital World — California Project WET Gazette
Interactive Activities for School, Home & Outdoor Learning Exploration
Summer is coming, but I think most of us are in some form of shock in a world that may feel like a mix of ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland,’ the 1960’s – or Jefferson Airplane’s mix of both in ‘White Rabbit.’ None of us is sure what the fall will bring, but a need for activities that can be done online, at home or outside are a given and this Gazette highlights Project WET resources tied to all three.
Project WET is seeking your guidance on what your distance learning experience was like this spring – what worked, what didn’t and what you think Project WET could do to help you as we continue distance learning into the foreseeable future. At the end of this 12-question survey, you will have the option to enter a drawing for one of two $100 Amazon gift cards.
Our staff and partners continue to monitor health advisories and protocols for COVID-19 as we plan for upcoming workshops. We will continue to be guided by the latest evidence and most current health advisories as we move through the fall with a mix of online and field courses.
I hope everyone gets a chance to take a breath, find some calm in a world that may seem more like a tempest. And please, be well Gazette readers! – Brian
