Description: The Contra Costa County Water District invites Contra Costa educators to join us in Concord on Saturday, January 20, 2024, for a day of FREE water education training and a behind-the-scenes tour of the Bollman Water Treatment Plant.
Project WET activities are designed to engage students in the study of water, Earth systems and human interactions with the environment, while supporting Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards.
Learn where your drinking water comes from while exploring the interdisciplinary, hands-on, activities of Project WET and receive:
- A $50 stipend
- Opportunity to register for continuing education units (CEUs)
- A Project WET Guide with dozens of engaging water-centric lessons
All needed materials (including a copy of the Project WET Guide 2.0), takeaways, and more are FREE!
This event is open to credentialed teachers and any other educators who work with K-12 students. This event is hosted in partnership with CCWD and Project WET.
