Description: Join us for a workshop that will connect the interface with fresh water and ocean, including a visit to Salinas de San Pedro Saltmarsh and a presentation by USC Sea Grant Coastal Research and Policy Specialist Karina Alverez.
Project WET (Water Education Today) activities are designed to engage students of all ages in the study of water through interactive simulations, use of models, and reality-based scenarios.
Interdisciplinary Project WET activities supplement existing curriculum, are correlated to Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards, and provide strong foundations for STEAM, Project-Based and Service-Learning programs.
Lunch will be provided. All participants who register and complete the workshop will receive a free Project WET teacher’s guide.
