Description: The Conservation and Education Team (CET) invites teachers in eastern Los Angeles County to join us for this FREE Project WET workshop!
The mission of CET is to promote water-use efficiency and increase public awareness of the importance of water in Southern California, specifically in Los Angeles County – and Project WET activities are designed to do this with students.
Participants will experience Project WET activities in action to see how these interdisciplinary, hands-on activities can engage students in the study of water science and water-use efficiency, Common Core and Next Generation Science Standard concepts and skills, while also providing strong support for Project-Based and Service-Learning programs.
Participants in this FREE workshop will receive:
- a copy of the new Project WET Foundations of Water Education guide
- a continental breakfast and lunch
- partial reimbursement for a substitute
- entry into a raffle during the workshop
- an opportunity to register for continuing education units (CEUs) upon completion of the workshop.
