Description: GRADE 6 – 12 EDUCATORS! Join NatureBridge and Project WET for an exciting exploration of the Santa Monica Mountains and California’s pathway to environmental literacy with a focus on the Environmental Principles and Concepts (EP&Cs).
This workshop will support your understanding of California’s science frameworks and how they emphasize place-based and outdoor environmental learning strategies. During this workshop, participants will:
Experience an Environmental Five E (E5E) Instructional Sequence
Make sense of natural systems using the Science & Engineering Practices (SEPs)
Learn instructional strategies with specially designed learning materials which will educate, empower, and support student action on environmental issues
Receive a copy of the Project WET Guide 2.0, access to the Coastal Commission’s new California Coastal Voices: Exploring Coastal Science, Engineering and Policy and an opportunity to register for CEU credit through CSU San Marcos for an additional fee.
