Description: Our local floodplains provide our region with flood protection, wildlife habitat, and agriculture. We invite K-12 educators to attend this this FREE professional development experience exploring how we utilize these floodplain as we tour project sites with watershed scientists, farmers and flood protection engineers.
This is a great opportunity for any educator who enjoys science, wants to be more informed and confident in teaching science, or wants to stay up to date on exciting projects in our watershed by working directly with water-resources professionals.
Includes hands-on curriculum training in Project WET and EEI, NGSS connections, and a career panel so you’re ready to help your students realize the possibilities for a water-related career – and you’ll have an opportunity to receive a $200 stipend!
