Description: The California Department of Water Resources and Project WET program invite grade 3 through 12 educators to join us for an engaging workshop experience focused on the science of climate change and the hands-on activities of Project WET.

Understanding climate change and its link to flood, drought, water quality, and more is crucial for all Californians. In this special workshop, you will learn activities to use with your students to help them understand the impacts of climate change on water and steps they can take to adapt to our changing environment.

Participants hear current information on climate science and how a changing climate is affecting California water resources, the role of science in driving new strategies to safeguard California water supplies – and how the activities of Project WET can help you integrate climate science knowledge, concepts and skills into your curriculum.

For a $20 registration fee, participants will receive:

• Great information on current climate science.
• Learn about local climate change impacts and citizen science opportunities.
• An opportunity to interact directly with DWR Climate staff.
• A copy of Project WET Guide 2.0 & experience with WET activities.
• Breakfast and lunch courtesy of Pacific Grove Museum & Environmental Volunteers
• An opportunity to receive 0.8 CEU credit.

And a $100 stipend plus return of your registration fee following completion of the training.
