Description: Join us for a two day workshop of lessons and activities about Watersheds, Water Supply and the Ocean.
Day one will be an exploration of watersheds, ground water, and water quality monitoring using lessons from the Project WET curriculum and others. We will be at beautiful Garland Ranch Regional Park in Carmel Valley. We will be participating in hands-on science activities that are aligned to the NGSS standards.
Day two will start at the Carmel River beach engaging in a variety of lessons that will teach about the wetlands and the ocean using the California Coastal Commission’s NGSS-aligned Coastal Choices & Voices curriculum.
A panel of people from local environmental organizations will present on opportunities for getting your students to study and care for our local watersheds.
