Description: ORANGE COUNTY REGION EDUCATORS! Join UC South Coast Extension and California Project WET for a watershed investigation as we venture from source to sea exploring the water resources that sustain and define the Orange County region.
In day one of this two-day workshop, you’ll experience remote sensing and field investigations to examine the relationship between the Colorado river system and the management of water supplies in the Orange Empire. Day two, will engage you in a systems approach to consider how human choices intersect with natural systems in the coastal oceans.
Participants will receive award-winning resources from Project WET and the California Coastal Commission, a field experience at UC South Coast’s agricultural research facility, experience application of NGSS learning outside, access to new Project WET standard pools and an opportunity to receive CEU credit– all for a $45 registration fee!
