Description: San Joaquin County Office of Education and California Project WET in collaboration with the CAL-MSCS and CREEC Network invite early childhood educators to register for a special workshop in which we will dive into climate change from an early elementary perspective focusing on weather, water and our environment.
Understanding climate change and its connection to weather, water and the environment are important building blocks to help young learners become stewards of our planet.
Project Wet activities are designed to engage students in the study of water through hands-on activities, use of models, and reality-based scenarios.
The interdisciplinary activities supplement existing curriculum, are correlated to Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards, and provide strong foundations for STEAM, Project-Based, and Service Learning Programs.
A $25 registration fee includes a copy of the Project Wet Getting Little Feet Wet Guides, a light breakfast, lunch and a $100 stipend following the completion of the workshop!
