Description: The Floodplain Ecology Institute is designed to increase teachers’ knowledge and awareness of floodplain ecosystems and provide participants with the tools to educate their students about their relationship to their watershed.
The program includes the introduction of standards based curriculum (Project WET and the Education and the Environment Initiative Units), field experiences, hands-on inquiry-based lab activities and guest speakers and demonstrations by agencies. $200 Stipend upon completion of the project.
