The written proceedings of the Foundation’s 2022 Colorado River Symposium, “On the Edge of the Next 100 Years.” This two-and-a-half day, invitation-only event held in September 2022 brought together some of the top policymakers in the Colorado River Basin. Discussions included the future of the 1922 Colorado River Compact, the impact of climate change on the Basin, tribal parity and partnership in Colorado River Basin management, the U.S.-Mexico partnership, and recommendations from Colorado River Water Leaders on the 2026 river operating guidelines. In addition, a one-basin town hall was held to discuss the river’s challenges.
