California Project WET Gazette: Highlighting Nature’s Ecosystem Engineer
Dear Project WET Gazette Readers: Please note we are resending this announcement about our Spring Gazette with a new link since there were some technical difficulties with the one sent on March 21.
The Spring California Project WET Gazette explores lessons learned decades ago from the near eradication of a North American mammal that plays an increasingly important role in protecting California’s watersheds in a changing climate.
Also, a reminder that the new Project WET Foundations of Water Education guides are replacing the large Project WET Guide 2.0, which will no longer be available after this year. Please pass the word to your colleagues who might be interested in getting the current guide or the set of new guides.
Upcoming Project WET workshops and institutes:
- Merced County, April 27, Grasslands Environmental Education Center near Los Banos: Learn about floodplains’ benefits for wildlife, agriculture and nearby communities and receive a copy of Project WET’s new “Foundations of Water Literacy” guide. Learn more.
- Yolo County, May 4, Yolo Basin Foundation in Davis: An advanced workshop for veteran Project WET educators. Explore the vital role of the Yolo Bypass in California’s flood control system and receive a copy of Project WET’s new “Foundations of Water Literacy” guide. Learn more.
