California Project WET Gazette — New Resources for Water & Climate
Tools & Activities to Enrich the Study of Water with Your Students
Welcome to a New Year, Project WET Educators! A variety of new or updated resources were released in the past few months, so I decided to highlight a variety of these tools for the Winter Gazette. In addition to the resources, you’ll find suggestions for Project WET activities to pair with each resource.
Keep an eye out for Project WET workshops and special events as we move through winter into spring. Multiple workshops are in planning and will be added as details are finalized. Project WET workshops and events currently open for registration in the new year include:
- A ‘Climate Change and California Water’ workshop in the San Francisco Bay Area
- The CEEF ‘Best Practices in Environmental Education & Stewardship’ Institute for grade 4 – 12 educators in Los Angeles and Orange Counties.
- A combined Project WET & Project Learning Tree workshop at the Coleman National Fish Hatchery in Shasta County and
- An opportunity to explore drought and water conservation in Solano County.
Hope you have a wonderful start to 2023! – Brian
