An early welcome to Autumn, California Project WET Alumni!
The Autumn 2018 California Project WET Gazette is ‘live’ on the Water Education Foundation website. The fires have sparked a lot of discussion regarding emergency preparedness and why or where people live in the state. The same discussions apply to concerns about flooding, so the Gazette article is focused on Project WET activities that engage students in each of these topics.
Please check-out the Supplemental Materials page to find the maps, hydrographs and other California specific materials to use with Project WET activities that I promised all I would post during the summer institutes!
Floodplain management in regards to fish and farming is the focus of the latest article in our Water Education Foundation flagship e-magazine Western Water – now open to FREE registration for anyone interested in the latest news coverage of critical water issues facing California and the West!
Please check out the Fall schedule of Project WET workshops and hope you might let colleagues know about workshops in your area – or please do join us in one of the upcoming special focus workshops to experience more Project WET activities in action!
Hope you enjoy a wonderful Fall! - Brian
