The Riverside County Watershed Protection Program is managed by Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District in partnership with 27 cities, the County of Riverside and the Coachella Valley Water District. The Irvine Ranch Water District is an independent special district that provides high-quality drinking water, reliable wastewater collection and treatment, groundbreaking recycled water programs and environmentally sound urban runoff treatment to central Orange County.

The District is a consortium of 26 cities and water districts that provides drinking water to nearly 19 million people in parts of Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties.
 

The District’s primary responsibility is managing the vast groundwater basin under northern and central Orange County that supplies water to more than 20 cities and water agencies, serving more than 2.3 million Orange County residents.

The agency’s mission is to import supplemental water and to protect and enhance local water supplies for use by present and future water users and to sell imported water to local water districts within the agency’s service areas.
