Santa Ana River Watershed 2014 Conference agenda available
The preliminary agenda is available for the sixth annual Santa Ana River Watershed Conference to be held on Oct. 14 in Riverside. The 2014 theme of the annual conference is Keeping Our Cool.
The keynote speaker will be UCLA geography professor and researcher Glen MacDonald, who will address what drought conditions might mean for water resources of the future.
Panel discussions include:
- Why We Are Cool: The Santa Ana Watershed in Action
- Maintaining Our Cool: How to Integrate Economics, Health, Social Values and the Triple Bottom Line into Watershed Management
- Keeping our Cool: Achieving Long-term Sustainability of Santa Ana Watershed
- The Santa Ana River Watershed Accord moderated session (during which the audience will be invited to provide input on watershed vision for the future).
The conference will be held at the Riverside Convention Center, 3637 5th Street in Riverside, from 9 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. on Oct. 14. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m.
